Four Lakes Operations Company announced today its board members. Four Lakes Operations Company (FLO) is a Michigan corporation wholly-owned by the Four Lakes Task Force (FLTF). It was established to select an operator to resume control after Boyce Hydro ownership is transferred. FLO also will oversee future hydroelectric operations and will obtain and renew the licenses of the hydroelectric facilities of Sanford, Smallwood, Secord and Edenville dams in the transfer of assets from Boyce in the next two years.
“The FLO board consists of well-qualified individuals who are experts in power generation, finance, government affairs, energy, and environmental management,” said Dave Kepler, chairman, Four Lakes Task Force. “They will be excellent guides as FLO manages the lake levels, FERC licenses, power purchase contracts and more going forward.”
The board consists of a maximum of seven members who serve 3-year terms. Current board members are as follows:
